Signs of Ants Infestation
- Visible trails of ants, especially near food, water, or trash
- Small piles of dirt or wood shavings near baseboards or window sills
- Ant nests in mulch, under pavers, or near the foundation
- Rustling sounds inside walls (a sign of carpenter ant activity)
Our Treatment Approach
We start by identifying the species and locating nests, since treatment differs by species and colony structure (queens, males, and workers). From there, we apply targeted baits and barrier treatments around entry points and nesting sites, then follow up to make sure the colony — not just the ants you can see — is eliminated. Beyond the nuisance, ants can bite, sting, spread bacteria and pathogens, contaminate food, and in the case of wood-damaging species, cause real structural damage.
Prevention Tips
- Repair cracks and crevices in your home's exterior that ants can use to move in and out
- Fix leaking faucets and pipes, and use dehumidifiers to reduce moisture that attracts ants
- Create a barrier between your home's foundation and any soil or mulch
- Keep tight-fitting lids on outdoor trash cans, recycling bins, and compost bins
- Reduce indoor food sources by regularly vacuuming and wiping down counters and tables
